ARCH OBOLER'S LIGHTS OUT!/DROP DEAD!: CHICKEN HEART

Wow, I was psyched to find this one!

Have loved old radio shows since I was first turned onto them in the 70's and then to a higher degree a decade later.

The infamous Lights Out! episode called "Chicken Heart" (which I learned about on Bill Cosby's album "Wonderfulness") is on the above album, DROP DEAD!, but the site where I found the album cover and contents no longer has the MP3s.  But fear not, friends!  I, your wonderful, handsome, charming and modest host, have located another online MP3 of this very (infamous) episode so you may click on the (indirect) link here:  LIGHTS OUT!: CHICKEN HEART

Warning: Clicking on the link will bring up an entire page of LIGHTS OUT! radio episodes.  In order to hear this specific episode, you will need to scroll down the list until you find "Chicken Heart".  You have the option of just listening to the episode (it's a short one) or you can left click on either of the blue/purple links to download it on your drive.

Now, I would be remiss if I didn't try to encourage you to use the download feature to save ALL the episodes on the page (it's in the upper left hand corner).  If you have DSL and maybe a few hours that you don't need your computer, I encourage you to do just that.  You will most likely not be disappointed when you start listening.  All the classic episodes are there.

Perhaps you will be inspired to look for other horror/suspense radio shows in this archive - shows like I LOVE A MYSTERY (a favorite of mine), ADVENTURES BY MORSE (ditto) and the wonderful INNER SANCTUM.  There's really no quick end to all the terrific shows you can find - and they're all free!

So, friends, enjoy "Chicken Heart" (as silly as it is) and experience one of the most unique programs that radio listeners experienced in early 1938.  Please, let me know what you think when you're done.

Have fun!
